Michael Goodrum began his career as a glass artist 24 years ago, specialising in the design and manufacture of traditional stained glass windows.
Frustrated by the creative limitations of leadwork, and searching for a more contemporary form of expression, he discovered the newly resurgent technique of fused or kiln-formed glass, and now regularly exhibits his mirrors and art glass throughout the UK as well as a permanent display in his light filled Birmingham showroom.

A keen amateur photographer and naturalist since childhood, Michael has travelled extensively to many wild and exotic locations across the globe, and for several years worked as a full-time nature conservationist.
Drawing upon this experience, and inspired by the tranquil surroundings of his studio, Michael has created an ever-increasing range of stunning designs full of vibrancy, texture and shimmering light.
