I am now able to offer a series of introductory courses in various techniques from my city centre studio. Initially courses will be held on a Sunday, 10am - 5pm with a maximum of 4 students to ensure plenty of personal supervision and assistance. More in-depth 2 day courses will be introduced in the near future.
All tools and materials will be provided, together with light refreshments for the morning and afternoon. Please provide your own lunch or choose from the many options located nearby in the Jewellery Quarter. Plenty of parking is available right next to the studio and on Sundays this is free of charge.

Learn the traditional art and techniques of cutting, leading, soldering and cementing with a selection of ready made designs to choose from. Tips and advice on how to create your own design will also be given, these could be completed on a 2 day course to be introduced shortly.

Learn the exciting new technique of kiln-fired glass, including material compatibility, design, cutting, layering, firing schedules and kiln preparation. No experience necessary. Panels will be available 2 days later for collection. More advanced techniques will be explored on a 2 day course, available shortly.

Learn the challenging concept of 'painting' with glass powder or frit. As well as the technical side of fusing glass, firing schedules and kiln preparation, you will discover your artistic side using a variety of weird and wonderful techniques to create your very own masterpiece. A more in-depth 2 day course will be introduced in the near future.
